This poem reminds me of when younger, how I used to climb trees every second I could. Also, how I would go on camping trips many times during the summer and we would bring giant whole watermelon’s. We cut it into fourth’s and eat away until our stomaches were full of watermelon. This poem to me means that, in the olden days children would play outside all day long because, there were no such things as x-boxes, wii’s, i-pods, or even really T.V.’s. The kids would climb trees, run around until they skinned their knees, and played more and more all day. Time’s change over the years where people now, would rather sit on the couch, eat, and play video games and stare blankly at the television. The poem is also taking about how the adults would make their own cigarettes because they probably were too expensive to buy. Also, it says how everyone would daydream and think of many unique things like unicorn’s and things that do not exist.

Some people disapprove to the adding of fluoride in drinking water because they don’t know exactly what is put into fluoride. People don’t want to drink their water if they know fluoride is in it, and they don’t know what is in the fluoride that could help or harm them. A few reasons people disapprove of adding fluoride to their water are, Fluoride is not an essential nutrient and some people think that their teeth are perfectly fine without the fluoride. Dental fluorosis means that a child has been overdosed on fluoride.
Teeth that were exposed to too much fluoride.
While the mechanism by which the enamel is damaged is not definitively known, so people think it is dangerous for children. Also studies show that, Fluoride has been shown to be mutagenic, cause chromosome damage and interfere with the enzymes involved with DNA repair in a variety of cell and tissue studies. I would add fluoride to drinking water because I hear that it is good for your teeth and it stops decaying but, also since we have it in our water now I can’t tell a difference. But if there is fluoride in the water I would rather have it because it is healthier for your teeth. They had to add stannous fluoride, sodium fluoride, and sodium monofluorophosphate in toothpaste and mouthwash which are three compounds in them that help stop tooth decay. Also they had to marry the fluoride with a compatible abrasive to make the fluoride toothpastes. The side effects that concern me the most are, that by taking fluoride, your life can be shortened and you want to live your life as long as you can because, life is short and you only get one go around. Also it can cause your bones to be brittle, and as I am athletic, if you are exercising you have more of a chance of breaking your bones because of how your body moves. Most people can’t afford to be away from their exercise for long because of a broken bone. Last, Fluoride reduces brain functions, so from all the studying we do already, if our brain is not functioning correctly then we may do our work incorrectly that we just learned. We need our brain for everything we do so we don’t need it to function improperly. Our water would be better with fluoride, it keeps your teeth clean andis good for them.
